Business Simply Put has designed two programs specific to the needs of entrepreneurs and newly formed businesses. These programs offer a unique experience, by combing a structured process with personalized guidance and consulting.

These are not group courses, but rather one-on-one interactive experiences following
a structured process with discussions and reviews specific to your business.

Business Concept Feasibility allows the testing of the business model concept prior to launch.

Business Plan Writing guides the entrepreneur through the process of writing a business plan.

Both programs are taught by Lori Williams, a well-known business consultant and educator. Lori functions as the Chief Strategist for LW and Associates. She is a published author with books listed on Amazon, Barnes and Noble and Linkedin. She is an adjunct professor at Lloyd Grief Center for Entrepreneurial Studies at USC, teaching the Business Plan Class and Feasibility Studies. To read her full bio click here.

These programs are not designed to address complex business issues.

______________________Business Concept Feasibility_____________________________

According to the SBA (Small Business Administration) 50% of businesses fail within the first five years. This can be contributed to several factors such as insufficient profit margins, poor management, undercapitalization and insufficient marketing. Many of these issues could have been over come with slight modifications to the business model.

Business failure is very costly to those involved, both financially and emotionally. Although it is impossible to foretell all future events, a Business Concept Feasibility examines and evaluates each of the main disciplines to ensure you have the best chance for success. The results of the study may cause you to radically change your business model or not pursue the concept. This in turn could be one of the best decisions made, saving money, time and heartache.

This is not a group course, it is a one-on-one interactive experience following a structured process with discussions and reviews specific to your business plan.

_____________________________Business Plan Writing_____________________________

A business plan is vital document providing strategic direction for the business. A Business Plan builds credibility when presented to strategic alliances and it is a requirement for any business that seeks funding.

Writing a business plan can be very daunting. For this reason, many entrepreneurs consider hiring an outside service. However, this can be costly and often the finished product does not reflect the ideology of the founders. More importantly, the knowledge gained through this process can provide valuable insights. Writing a business plan requires clearly defining the product/service, performing market/ competitor research, calculating profitability and cash flow. Often key aspects of the business model are redefined that can be crucial to the success of the business.

About the Process:

This is an 8 week program covering each module within a 2 week time frame. The process includes the following activities: instruction, research, submission, review and discussion. (*Customized scheduling is available—see below.)

The workbook is divided into four modules and includes the following activities:

1. Instruction-Reviews the module topic and provides basic business background and information.
2. Outline –Provides a complete description of the process detailing each step.
3. Forms and Templates—May include a Questionnaire, Chart and/or Excel Model.
4. Assessment –May include an assessment or grading scale

At the beginning of the module a conference call is scheduled to review the materials, process and provide guidance as needed. Additional research may be required to locate information specific to your business model, such as competitor analysis, trends, government regulations, pricing comparisons or manufacturing processes.

Guidance will be provided to help you determine what to look for and possible research avenues. Weekly email communication is available to answer questions and help overcome any challenges encountered. If needed, additional conference calls are scheduled.

Review—At the end of each module the completed workbook pages and supplemental documents are submitted. Materials are thoroughly reviewed and returned with written comments suggestions.

Discussion—The module concludes with a scheduled conference call to discuss the results for that module. If necessary, modifications are suggested.

Quantities of time have been chosen based on previous experiences, which confirmed an adequate allotment of time to cover all aspects. If required additional phone/email credits can be purchased at a discounted rate.

Program is scheduled to allow time for a 2-week time period for the completion of each module. Documents must be received by the submission deadline in order to receive thorough review. A session can be expanded if and only if a written request is received within two days of the initial conference call for the beginning of the session.

Since this is a one-on-one experience, there is some flexibility in the scheduling process.
Special scheduling arrangements (increasing/decreasing of time) can be made in advance allowing you to customize the program to your specific needs.
